Econ 52 is the third course in the Economics Core requirement for the undergraduate major. It was taught by Adrien Auclert and Pete Klenow in Winter 2021, and by Patrick Kehoe in Spring 2021 and Spring 2022. It is about both long-run growth and short-run business cycles. The course focuses on the effects of fiscal policy (spending, taxes, and debt) and monetary policy. It makes extensive use of calculus.
I was awarded an Outstanding Teaching Assistant award for the Spring 2022 session of Econ 52.
Hard Questions: In the Spring 2021 and Spring 2022 versions of Econ 52, submitting answers to these questions allowed for up to 15% extra credit.
Notes: I prepared these notes for the Spring 2021 and Spring 2022 versions of Econ 52. If (when?) you find errors, please let me know!
